STUDENT SERVICES CONTACTS FOR 2020

With the change of the new year, the High School office is also preparing for change! Ali Ross, High School Counselor, will be on maternity leave during quarter 4.  Oftentimes, we can categorize the needs that filter through the counseling office as either Personal/Social, Academic, or Career/Post Secondary Planning. Based on the need of your student, please use the following list as your point of contact:

If you have questions or concerns that include -

  1. Personal/Social - Heather Isle, Family Collaborative Worker (hisle@isd186.org, 218.568.9325)

  2. Academic Concerns - Chris Palmer, School Counselor & Spanish Teacher (cpalmer@isd186.org, 218.568.9210)

  3. Career & Post Secondary Planning - Tom Street, Career Advisor (tstreet@isd186.org, 218.568.9578)

We also welcome Tracy Tschida (former PLHS Social Studies Teacher) to the office a few days a week to assist in large project planning such as the Career Fair, Academic Planning, Reality Store, Senior Awards Night, and Graduation. Tracy will also be continuing her teaching at Central Lakes College on a part-time basis.

COLLEGE IN THE SCHOOLS (CIS) & POST-SECONDARY ENROLLMENT OPTIONS (PSEO)

The College in the Schools (CIS) program at Central Lakes College is a partnership with Pequot Lakes High School that gives juniors or seniors a jump start on earning college credit. Students experience the academic rigor of college curriculum and strengthen their study skills while still attending PLHS while earning college credit.
